We are sorry to note that you were not totally satisfied with your stay at MEININGER Amsterdam. Our concept is indeed being a mixture of a hotel and hostel - combining the best from both. As we offer both private rooms and dormitories, we attract a broad range of guests, from groups, families to backpackers. The facilities are basic and the atmosphere is informal. We understand that not everybody likes our concept. Even though, we do hope that you still enjoyed your time in Amsterdam and we would be happy to welcome you back again in Amsterdam.

Negative The room was not clean. There was spilled juice and hair on teh table from previous guests. I informed the reception and she even came to check it in room and promised to send someone for cleaning the next day but no one cleaned the room during the whole stay.
The sink in toilet was clogged. Asked the reception to get it fixed. They sent facility service who cleaned it and removed half a kilo of hair and dirt from sink. Not a pleasent site
Room had 4 beds (2 single and 2 bunk beds). This reduced the space significantly in the room as there was no sofa in the room.
